News and Profiles

.

It was the last day at school today. We visited Nishiura Junior High School and saw Jasper and Joe. They’ve been helping their English classes a lot through the week. While we were there we were taken to the library to check some Japanese books of cultural inspirations and historical significance as well as some children’s books Then We tried Japanese string instrument called Koto. They were able to play the beautiful tune of Sakura song.

Our big night was on!!! Farewll party was held at one of the banquet rooms at Hotel Takeshima. It was evident that all students and adults enjoyed their experiences through the week. Students spoke well and thanked their host families and shared the memorable moments. Sorry... Keiko did not take any photos as she was too nervous about her speech!!!

We have Saturday to spend time with host families. Meeting everyone at Gamagori station at 8.30am on Sunday. We will catch a train at 9am and start traveling. It will be a challenging start of our tour... saying goodbye to host families will be emotionally tough but Shinkansen won’t wait for us!!! We got to move on.

Wish us good luck for safe traveling. The next blog post will be from Thalia and Jasper, the student leaders of the day (^^)
